Hal Gould, Chairman
Hal is the President and CEO of Ivest Properties Limited and has been the President of Gould Outdoor advertising and President of Wendy’s Restaurants of Canada. Hal was also the co-founder of Cultures Restaurants Ltd. and co-founder of New York Fries Ltd.

Ray C. Stanton, President
As President, Ray brings over 25 years of experience in the student housing arena. His firm, London Property Corp, is one of the largest owners of student housing assets in Canada, and his reputation in this niche market is respected in the industry. Ray is consulted on all major projects and initiatives, and his leadership and experience has been a valuable resource as the company continues to enjoy tremendous growth.

Brian Freeman, Senior Vice President, Strategy & Development
As Senior Vice President, Brian is responsible for identifying new business opportunities and mapping strategies designed to support new business development. In addition, Brian works with existing clients in identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring that client expectations are not only met, but exceeded. Brian works directly with Michael Paul in effectively communicating client expectations and ensuring that enabling process are in place that are sustainable and successful. Brian is also Six-Sigma Green Belt certified. Prior to joining Campus Living Centres, Brian enjoyed a successful career at an operating entity of G.E. Capital.

Michael Paul, Senior Vice President, Operations
All operations staff report directly to Michael. Prior to joining Campus Living Centres in 2007, Michael enjoyed a successful career in the private sector, most notably in senior roles with the George Weston Group and an operating entity of G.E. Capital. Michael is credited for successfully restructuring the company when it was acquired by Ivest and London Property Corp. His focus on rigorous process control and execution has created a solid foundation for business growth and success. Michael earned his six-sigma Green Belt certification and continues to implement best practices based on six-sigma core principles.

Joe Danis, Vice President, Student Affairs & Organizational Development
Prior to joining Campus Living Centres, Joe enjoyed a successful career at the University of Manitoba where he was Director of Housing & Student Life for nine years. At the University of Manitoba, Joe’s ability to balance the importance of business operations and Residence Life transformed the student housing operation into an innovative, dynamic, and high performance unit. Within post-secondary education, Joe has also worked in areas such as private funding, student and parent orientation programs, and international recruitment. Joe is currently responsible for the student affairs portfolio as well as the Property Support Team.

Property Support Team

Greg Hum, M.Ed. – Director, Residence Life & The Student Experience
Greg joined the Campus Living Centres team in 2013 and brings with him a breadth of knowledge and skills in student affiairs, residence life, and recruitment. He began his professional career as a Recruitment Officer at Carleton University, then worked for over five years as the Coordinator of Residential Transition Programs at the University of Toronto. Here, his training in Supplemental Instruction and student development made him critical to the development and implementation of highly successful first-year and upper-year transition programs. Today Greg is responsible for overseeing the overall residence life program across Campus Living Centres, ensuring students receive quality programming, education, and support. Greg holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in psychology from Carleton University, a certificate in Student Affairs and Services from Seneca College, and a Master of Education from the University of Toronto.

Clarence Chong, M.A. – Director, Marketing & Sales
Clarence comes to Campus Living Centres from the University of Manitoba, with a multifaceted background in marketing, international recruitment, event management, alumni relations, and residence life. Prior to his work at the University of Manitoba, Clarence started his career in hospitality working in food and beverage, sales, and conference services. Clarence manages the Campus Living Centres’ brand and oversees the Residence & Conference Centre marketing strategy. He is responsible for liaising with our post-secondary partners to integrate our student residence marketing into the overall institutional identity. Clarence’s role also includes developing all media releases and public communication. Clarence holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Manitoba, and a Master of Arts from Athabasca University.

Kathy Running – Director, Finance
Kathy joined Campus Living Centres in February of 1998 after an 11 year career with Dacon Corporation. Kathy is responsible for the sound management of the financial resources of the Company including the control of the budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, and treasury functions. She establishes the accounting policies and procedures to ensure that the financial reporting and all financial and accounting transactions for our clients comply with company practices, applicable regulations, GAAP, and the terms of our management agreements. Kathy is a graduate of Queens’ University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours).

Todd Sweeney – Director, Information Technology
Todd has been with Campus Living Centres in various roles for over 13 years. Having performed in positions including Resident Advisor, Manager, as well as General Manager. Todd transitioned to IT Services after completion of MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) and A+ (computer technician) certifications. Responsibilities for this role include the support and maintenance of all IT related systems and technologies employed within our operation. Having hands-on experience within a residence operating environment ensures that IT related needs of the business are understood and new technologies can be used to ensure operational efficiencies and competitiveness.

Kamika Wilson – Director, Human Resources
Kamika joined Campus Living Centres in 2014. Prior to joining Campus Living Centres, Kamika covered a variety of sectors including automotive, finance, and professional recruitment. With a multifaceted background in human resources, compliance, executive recruitment, and strategic management, Kamika brings strength as a strategic partner to the business and provides hands-on direction within the human resources function as a whole. In her role, Kamika supports all aspects of the business by providing daily leadership in defining and implementing core human resource programs. Kamika holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Ryerson University, where she majored in Business Management.

James Tansley – Director, Physical Resources
James started with Campus Living Centres in 2007. In this role, James is responsible for our entire building portfolio as it pertains to capital planning, maintenance contracts, department policy & procedures, as well as ensuring compliance with various codes, standards, and laws that apply to our facilities. James has prior experience with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing as part of the Ontario Building Code testing and certification process, and has successfully completed qualifications for three technical areas: Designer Legal Processes, Building Services, and Small Buildings. James has completed certifications with the Heating, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Institute (HRAI) for Residential Heat Loss and Heat Gain Calculations, as well as Residential Air System Design. James is a graduate of the Conestoga College, Architecture-Construction Engineering Technology program.
