Community Building and Programming

To improve campus retention, you need an orientation and transition plan that actively engages students in campus life.

We know that the first 6 weeks of a new student’s experience on campus is critical to their overall success.  Our approach to community building and programming ensures that your students have a positive and smooth transition to residence and campus life.

Our efforts include:

  • Helping students develop strong relationships with their roommates and Resident Advisor (RA)
  • Promoting participation in residence and campus orientation activities
  • Education about key resources, services and involvement opportunities
  • Facilitating campus social and educational programs that build a strong, supportive community

We accomplish these goals through the use of a wide variety of programs that are customized for each campus. Across our portfolio of residences, we have staff that has developed considerable expertise delivering these programs.

  • Residence Move-in and Orientation Programs
  • Individualized Transition Support Plans
  • Living Learning Communities
  • Engagement through Social Media
  • Service Learning and Volunteerism
  • Designing Student Friendly Common Spaces
